Wawa-news is currently attending a Tourism Keys conference in Timmins. This workshop is designed to educate tourism businesses about the aspects of internet marketing. Wawa has always had a tourism industry, and advertises well outside of the community. However, with the tools available on the internet, many businesses could take advantage of them to increase their clientele. Lori Johnson and Linda Mann of the TWP, and Chantal Joanisse from the EDC are also attending. In all about 25 people from around Northern Ontario are here learning new marketing tools for the internet.
